A minimum of two basic emergency medical technicians (EMT's) staff
our BLS units. This level of ambulance service is designed for
non-ambulatory, stretcher bound patients who do not require
sophisticated medical therapy while in transit. Our BLS fleet of
ambulances are staffed 24 hours per day. These ambulances
serve all of Macomb County, Eastern Detroit (Detroit East Medical
Control Authority), and the Grosse Pointes.

licensed in the State of Michigan.

Courtesy and compassionate; uniformed personnel.

Available for long distance transfers (greater than 100 miles).

- Fixed wall suction unit.
- VHF (H.E.A.R.) radio communications to local hospitals.
- UHF radio communications to Universal dispatch.
- Automatic GPS vehicle locating system.
- Emergency Epinephrine auto-injector pens.
Information for
health care workers / hospitals
- BLS units provide basic airway management, orthopedic care, and
non-invasive interfacility transports.
- BLS ambulance service is available for "stand-by" events such as
football games and concerts.
- BLS interfacility transfers can be scheduled in advance or with little
or short notice. Our dispatch center will clarify any questions or concerns
related to selecting a proper ambulance type.
- Michigan EMT's may transport patients with pre-existing IV solutions
(NS, D5W, and Lactated Ringers), and persons requiring oxygen therapy.
